Job Description
Family Voices of Minnesota seeks a dynamic, mission-driven, thoughtful and collaborative
Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The
Executive Director is responsible for overall strategic leadership, operational management,
financial sustainability, and community engagement. This individual will work closely with
the Board of Directors, staff, families, and partners to advance the organization�s mission.
Required Skills
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction aligned with the organization�s
mission and goals
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement long-term plans
- Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the organization while
remaining grounded in the voices and experiences of families
Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring effective program delivery and organizational
efficiency
- Establish and maintain clear systems, timelines, and internal communication practices to
support organizational effectiveness
- Supervise, mentor, and support staff with a focus on clear expectations, professional
growth, and staff well-being
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and funding requirements
Financial Management & Fundraising
- Develop and manage the organization�s budget and financial resources
- Lead and support fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing and
events
- Build and maintain relationships with funders, foundations, and community
partners
Programs & Community Engagement
- Strengthen and expand programs that support families of children with disabilities
- Engage with families and stakeholders to ensure programs are responsive and
impactful
- Represent the organization in local, state, and national networks
